Scott Rigsby, es un hombre ordinario que puso su vida en las manos de un Dios extraordinario, para hacer cosas extraordinarias.
A los 19 años sufrió un accidente donde el camión en el cual iba cayó sobre sus piernas, mas luego fue amputado de ambas. Después del accidente lo mantuvieron en una coma inducida que lo llevo a la dependencia de drogas. Un día un Pastor tuvo una conversación de 2 horas con él, en la cual este le dice “Dios tiene un plan para tu vida”. Después de esto Scott dice que maldijo a Dios por todo lo que pudo pensar y luego cuenta lo que Dios le respondió “Me alegro que por fin seas honesto conmigo”.
Diciembre del 2005, Scott se sentía perdido aunque era Cristiano, y cuenta como en oración le dijo a Dios, “Padre, si me abrieras una puerta, correría por ella” Una semana más tarde Scott se encontró frente a una revista donde leía un artículo de una joven, amputada de una sola pierna la cual gano la competencia de IRONMAN, y el cuenta como Dios puso el sentir en su corazón, de su llamado para ser el próximo “IRONMAN”
El cuenta como hoy en día, el dice, que solo vive para glorificar el nombre de Dios.

The IRONMAN Competion:
The iron man competition is a worldwide event that challenges competitors to complete three athletic events. The event, which consists of swimming, biking, and running, is held each year in Kailua Kona, Hawaii. Competitors in the iron man competition must first complete a 2.4 mile (3.86 kilometer) swim across the Kailua Kona Bay. Then, they must bike 112 miles (180.2 kilometers) from Keauhou to Hawi and back again. Finally, the competitor must run 26.2 miles (42.2 kilometers) along the coast from Keauhou to Keahole Point and then to Kailua Kona.

In order to compete in the iron man competition, the athlete must win one of the slots that are available in a number of domestic or international locations. Some locations that host the qualifying events include Japan, South Africa, the Canary Islands, Europe, and the United States. Each location has a different number of available slots, and the way they are won is different from one location to the next. Some slots are also made available through a lottery drawing.
